Your E-mail is received by and sent from a mail server provided by SMU.
When you start your computer at home or work to connect to your mail, your computer connects to the SMU mail server. When
you read your mail it is copied from the SMU mail server to your computer and then erased fromthe SMU mail server. If you
are not at thecomputer that has your mail account set up on it you may still read and send E-mails from any Internet
connection. The following instructions show you how to connect to the SMU mail server and to your account. Because you are
not on your computer you will only be looking at your mail not copying it to your computer. Thus when you get back to your
computer you will still be able to get the same mail you looked at, after downloading it on to your computer, the SMU
mail server will be cleared of old mail.
Steps: 1. On a Internet connection go to the web site
https://webmail.shawanonet.net 2. The following screen will appear:

3. Enter your E-mail address yourname@shawanonet.net 4. Enter your E-mail password 5. Follow the instructions to view, send, and delete E-mails on the SMU mail
server.
